The emergence of "800v charging station" architecture represents a significant advancement in EV technology, enabling ultra-fast charging speeds by reducing current and associated heat losses. Our company is at the forefront of this evolution, manufacturing the high-voltage interconnect solutions specifically engineered for these 800V systems. Charging at 800V places increased demands on insulation and safety components. Our EV charging inlets and connectors for 800V systems are designed with enhanced creepage and clearance distances and utilize advanced insulating materials to withstand the higher voltage safely. For example, a new generation of electric vehicles with 800V batteries can add hundreds of kilometers of range in minutes at a compatible 800V station. The CCS2 DC connector they use, which we manufacture, must not only handle the high voltage but also the extreme power levels (often 350kW+) delivered at these stations. Our liquid-cooled cable and plug assemblies are ideal for this application, managing the thermal load while keeping the cable manageable for the user.
